Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 5, 1915.
The Baptist Brotherhood hosted a celebration at Pioneer Park today. Several thousand people attended the event, which concluded with fireworks tonight at 10. Bands, including the Monarch Band, played during the afternoon, and the Sheridan Band later played the first of a series of planned concerts.
Several hundred people attended a celebration in Kearney today, including many from Sheridan and Buffalo. The event featured broncho riding, steer riding, horse races and foot races.
E.E. Lonabaugh bought a Cadillac “8” today from the D&D Auto company.
Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Thorn, Miss Tipple and Mr. Buckle spent a pleasant day in Little Goose canyon today.
