A Look Back in Time: July 23, 1915

July 23, 2015

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 23, 1915.

Four Sheridan men miraculously escaped injury yesterday when the car in which they were riding plunged over an embankment and fell about 18 feet into several feet of water on the Wrench ranch. The four were M. Steele, secretary of the Commercial club, Ed H. Fields, field superintendent of the Sheridan Beet Growers Association, D.L. Gogerty and H.N. Gottlieb. They were returning to Sheridan from transacting business in the beet fields when the accident happened.

Trimmed hats are on sale today and tomorrow for 50 cents to $2.50 at the Painter Sisters.

Mrs. French and Miss Hall are dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Nichols this evening.
