Perhaps never before has there been assembled in Sheridan a more representative group of big men than were at the Commercial club banquet at the Sheridan Inn last night. They were big men in every sense of the word, with keen intellect and broad vision, men who have traveled much, studied much and kept in the vanguard of progress. George W. Perry presided as toast master, and Sheridan Mayor T.T. Tynan welcomed the visitors.
An estimated eight to ten thousand people attended the opening of the Sheridan Sugar company that began at 1 this afternoon. Three thousand people assembled in the warehouse at 3 o’clock to hear speakers and the concert given by the Monarch band.
The Polo ranch will host a polo game tomorrow afternoon.
