The French inspection of horses has been postponed until next week, Dec. 1 and 2, in order that the new inspection sheds adjoining the Burlington Stock Yards, may be finished. All day on Dec. 2 will be given to showing horses from Sheridan and Johnson counties.
Coats for children ages 5 to 14 have been reduced at Reed’s. Coats to $3.50 in value are now just $1.98, and $10 coats are now $6. Also new holiday gloves for women and children are just 25 cents, and women’s suede and kid mittens are 89 cents.
The beet harvest in Dow is almost over. The beets are all pulled, and only a few loads remain to be hauled.
