The building which is to be vacated by the Fair store within a few days has been secured by the poultry association. The building will be used for the poultry show to be held in Sheridan later this month.
Nearly 1,700 pupils were enrolled in Sheridan schools at the close of the second period. Nearly 400 were enrolled in the high school. Average daily attendance was more than 1,400, and more than 600 pupils were neither absent nor tardy.
B.S. Mumper has been elected new commander of Sheridan’s John Schuler Post 47 of the Grand Army of the Republic. The organization for veterans of the Union army held elections on Saturday.
