The Johnson County School District #1 Board of Trustees approved a number of items during their consent agenda at their meeting Monday night.
Approved were early graduation requests from 8 students in the district, five from Buffalo High School and three from New West High School to graduate at the end of the first semester.
Students may request to finish their schooling at the end of the first semester of their senior year if they have met the necessary graduation requirements.
Also approved were employment requests; recommendations, resignations, and transfers within the district, which are listed at the end of this story.
And an isolation mileage reimbursement request was approved for two students at Kaycee High School, who need to use their own vehicle to travel 37 miles round trip daily to the nearest school bus stop.

Recommendation:
Savana Meier – FT Special Ed. Para, Clear Creek Middle School (new position).
Bonnie Rogers – FT Special Ed. Para, Clear Creek Middle & Cloud Peak Elementary
(replaces Karma Sarvey & Veronica Jacob).
Michelle Geis – FT Special Ed. Para, Meadowlark Elementary (new position).
Kristen Hein – Asst. Girls Basketball Coach, Buffalo High School (replaces Farrah Patterson).
Resignation:
Shannon Rueb, Custodial Coordinator/Head Custodian, Meadowlark Elementary
(effective December 3, 2021).
John Burdick – Bus Route Driver, Buffalo (effective November 17, 2021).
Transfer:
Veronica Jacob – Move from Sp. Ed. Para at CCMS/BHS to Sp. Ed. Para at BHS only.
John “Matt” Crider – Move from Head Custodian, CPES to Head Custodian, CPES + Custodial Coordinator, District.
Brook Ochs – Move from Custodian, CPES to Head Custodian, MDLK.
