Scott Stults and Sue Wilson discuss the meeting
In a special meeting of SCSD#2, Superintendent Scott Stults, with the recommendation of Dr. Hunter, approached the board with the recommendation that masks no longer be required at SCSD #2, but are strongly recommended.
Sheridan County Covid cases have dropped in the past month, and Sheridan County is now in the green, which is almost the best it can get according to the chart from the White House Covid-19 Task force, the only color better is deep green.
The recommendation will be revisited in two weeks, but Stults said that Dr. Hunter, although he does not have a crystal ball, feels like there will not be another Covid spike.
Stults said that by choosing to do what SCSD#2 did in August by requiring masks, helped to keep the Covid-19 rates low.
He also had this to say about bullying, either for wearing masks or not wearing masks.
The board approved Stults recommendation, starting tomorrow at SCSD#2 masks will be strongly recommended by not require.
