On September 8, President Joe Biden announced a vaccine mandate for Americans who work at companies with more than 100 employees. This mandate would force 80 million private sector employees to get vaccinated or comply with weekly testing, in addition to the existing mandates on millions of federal workers and contractors. On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate voted to repeal the mandate on private employers. Senator Cynthia Lummis (WY-R) voted in favor of the bill to repeal the mandate.
