City Enters Into Agreement With Army Corps of Engineers for Flood Control Channel Study

An agreement between the City of Sheridan and the Army Corps of Engineers to perform a General Investigation Study of the concrete flood control channel was approved by the City Council at their meeting Monday night. City Engineer Hanns Mercer said the General Investigation Study of the concrete chutes in downtown Sheridan is a three-year, $3 million study and the City would be responsible for approximately half that amount.

The Council also approved a resolution to apply for grant money for the Kendrick Park Pool Project and awarded the bid for renovation of the Kendrick Park Bandshell to Dick Anderson Construction in the amount of $169,925. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
