The Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA) will be launching a new branding program in 2022, and they gave an update on that and other plans for the coming year to both the Buffalo City Council and Johnson County Commission at their Tuesday meetings.
Jill Smith, President of the County Lodging Tax Board who oversees the spending of the collected revenue in the county, explained that the JCTA will be pushing three initiatives as recommended by experts from the state and elsewhere.
New logos, color schemes, mottos and other ideas will be implemented into the advertising push for the area, according to Smith, and these can be shared with other partners such as the chamber of commerce in their advertising campaigns as well, with the idea of presenting a uniform brand that will be recognized as representing Johnson County, Buffalo, and Kaycee.
