The Johnson County School Board honored trustee John Manzella, who died unexpectedly last month, during their regular meeting this week, and set the guidelines to begin the search for another trustee.

Later in the meeting the board discussed the procedure for finding a replacement member.
They have 30 days from the meeting to appoint a board member, who will serve the remainder of Manzella’s term which will be up this fall.
Those interested can submit Letter of Interest to the district through Tuesday, February 1.
The board will hold a special session February 9 to name the new trustee.
