A Look Back in Time: Sept. 13, 1917

The Sheridan Commercial Club, working through a committee, will take full charge of celebrations in honor of the second contingent of men to be sent to the National Army next Wednesday. A banquet will be held for the departing soldiers at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. James J. Withrow, county clerk and a membr of the district board, returned this afternoon from a vacation in the country.

Charles Chaplin stars in “The Cure,” a Mutual Special at Sheridan’s Grand theater today. Admission is 5 and 15 cents for the matinee, 10 and 20 cents for the night show.
