The Myers bill, which permits homesteaders to absent themselves from their homesteads for the performance of farm labor, has been piloted safely through the U.S. Senate by the Public Lands Committee, of which Sen. John B. Kendrick of Sheridan is a member. The measure is now pending in the House.

The Sheridan Library War Fund Campaign Week starts today under leadership of Miss Louise Portz. Sheridan County has been assessed $1,000 as the amount it should subscribe to the fund.

The Sheridan Sugar Co. is now accepting applications for the fall campaign.
