Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 28, 1915.
Seventy people attended the picnic given yesterday by the Soldier Creek and Wolf Creek ranchers. The event was at the home of George Silsbee on Soldier Creek. Dinner was served cafeteria-style, and guests enjoyed games and races. This was the first of what ranchers plan to be monthly events.
Anton Maryanowsky, a coal miner, has filed a lawsuit seeking $30,000 from the Carney Coal company to compensate him for personal injuries. Mr. Maryanowsky was crushed between two coal cars while working in the mine in 1912.
County Agricultural Adviser S.M. Fuller went out to the PK Ranch today.
