John Menegus, a machine operator in the Carneyville Mine north of Sheridan, was killed by a fall of coal about 6 o’clock this morning. His body was found beneath a small amount of coal about 6:45, and it was still warm, indicating that death had occurred only a short time before.
Train Number 41 was delayed arriving in Sheridan by several hours this afternoon. The reason was a derailment of a freight on the Alliance division.
