A Sheridan high school boy, when asked why all the peace petitions were being sent to President Wilson, replied that it was because the president was soon to be married.
W.G. Birkhaeuser returned yesterday from a business trip to Denver and Cheyenne.

Reuben Carnwell, who was a veteran of the Civil War and a pioneer of the Sheridan country, died this morning at the state hospital here in Sheridan. He was 72, and came to Sheridan County in 1881.
