Denver capitalist Verner Z. Reed has announced plans to build a magnificent country house at the Home ranch in Sheridan County, which he owns. The house will be about a quarter of a mile west of the ranch buildings, three miles south of Sheridan.
The Buck-Robison company will open a new shoe store in the room one door south of Jackson’s stationery store. The opening will be about Sept. 1. M.D. Robison, who will be manager of the new store, has arrived from Topeka, Kansas, where he has been engaged in the shoe business.
County Clerk J.J. Withrow and Commissioner Brundage made a trip to the Dayton-Mountain road today to view the work being done by the convict gang.
