War Savings Stamps were sold in bunches tonight through use of an old “paddle wheel” in a novel method that harked back to Sheridan’s open gambling days.

W.V. Kirby and Elmer Robinson have arrived in Sheridan today from Arvada.

Four drinking fountains donated to the city by Peter Kooi have been received and are now at city hall. The locations for the fountains have not been determined.

About 50 books written on the war situation have been bundled up and taken to the drug store of Mr. Roy Seney, where they’ll be given out to readers. These books aren’t fiction but are authentic war situations given first-hand by writers who have been there.
