In a trip through the Burlington yards in Sheridan, a reporter found 16 women working in positions hitherto held exclusively by men, as the men have been dispersed through the war needs of the nation.
Members of the local registration board last night began the classifications of the new registrants, a work which will require several days for completion.
Dr. S.W. Johnson has been chosen to conduct the first aid classes needed for preliminary training of Sheridan young women who expect to become nurses.
Reed’s has announced new store hours. Starting tomorrow, the store will open at 8:30 a.m. Closing will be at 6 p.m. except Saturdays when the store will be open until 9 o’clock.
