A request presented to the city council this morning, asking transfer of the old Gas company’s franchise to the new company now in command of that utility, has been postponed until next week. The formal transfer bore the signature of A.C. Foster of Denver, and city authorities could find nothing in the records showing that A.C. Foster had any power to transfer the franchise.
The Salvation Army collected $104 Saturday in the Christmas kettles which were stationed at three corners on Main Street.
Dr. Frank Caril, a dentist who has been located in Billings the past 12 years, arrived in Sheridan last night to open an office here in the Sheridan National bank building.
