The improvement of North Main street will begin at once, immediate action having been decided on at a meeting of the city council this morning. The action was taken because of the impassable condition of the road. Trucks and vehicles of all kinds have been mired, and the street car service interrupted.

Charles Frank Francis died at 12:30 o’clock yesterday morning at the state hospital in Sheridan of typhoid fever.

The J. W. Denio Milling company will spend a quarter of a million dollars in construction of a mill to take the place of the one destroyed by fire. A site with frontage of 150 feet has been purchased from Thomas Brundage for the new mill.
