One-hundred years ago marked the first time that Sheridan and Natrona met on a football field.
Much has changed since then, however the one thing that didn’t change when you compare 100 years ago to today is, the final score for the opposition.
The Broncs scored on their first 2 possessions in the first quarter, added 2 field goal in the 3rd, and one more TD in the 4th, to win 27-0 at home vs. Natrona.
NC scored 0 in the first game back in 1921.
It’s the first time since 1995 Sheridan has shut out the Mustangs, and they would avenge last year’s quadruple overtime loss.
Carter McComb would finish the first drive with a 1-yard run, and then Carl Askins would connect Dom Kaszas from 11-yards out on the 2nd drive.
Neither team scored in the second quarter, however Natrona managed to drive into the red zone just before halftime, but then Chris Larson forced a fumble that Bridger Baker would recover, to preserve the 14-0 advantage going into the locker room.
In the 3rd quarter, Michael Greer would kick 2 field goals to increase the score to 20-0.
Texas Tanner would finish the scoring for the Broncs in the 4th quarter.
Sheridan has a record of 5-1 on the 2021 season and is in a 4-way tie for first with Thunder Basin, Cheyenne East and Rock Springs.
The next scheduled home game for the Broncs is Friday, October 8th starting at 6pm.
It will be senior night, homecoming and the last home game of the regular season.[News From SheridanMedia.com]Read More
