The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Community Outreach event at the Story Women’s Club the second week of February.
Community Outreach events give the Sheriff’s Office an opportunity to meet with county residents and learn how to better provide the services offered by the office.
While attending Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, SO Sergeant Devereaux Johnson announced the event.

Johson told listeners these events offer opportunities to the residents to get to know their Sheriff’s Office and ask questions of those who protect and serve their community.

Sheridan County Sheriff Allen Thompson had to put events like these on hold during the initial outbreaks of COVID-19 but was able to begin meeting with the public again during the summer of last year. He told listeners that the events are not only good for the community, but also good for the deputies and staff of the Sheriff’s Office who attend.
