The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has announced that the Town of Dayton, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting at 7:15 p.m., on April 4, 2022, in the Dayton Town Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to receive additional information, as well as to provide an opportunity for additional review and comment, on the Dayton Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project, for which a public meeting was previously held on Feb. 16, 2022. Specifically, the additional information to be provided relates to the terms currently being offered by the Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) for a Clean Water Act State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan, those terms being a 30-year loan with a 2.5% interest rate and a principal forgiveness amount of 25% of the loan amount.
According to the announcement, based on current cost estimates, the Town plans to borrow $2,477,000 from the CWSRF. With a principal forgiveness amount of 25%, this means that there will be an average rate increase of approximately $19 per month per account to repay the loan.
More information about the project, including project design, cost estimates, and the funding plan, can be obtained at Engineering Associates; 1949 Sugarland Drive, Suite 205; Sheridan, WY 82801. Contact Dave Engels at (307) 673-1545 for more information.
