WYDOT reports that sometime after 5pm on Tuesday (March 22nd) a water main was struck causing water to flow southward on Sheridan Avenue at 5th Street.
As of the time this story was posted, east and west-bound traffic on 5th Street can pass through the area, but can’t turn south onto Sheridan Avenue.
North-bound traffic on Sheridan Avenue is unable to approach 5th Street and must find a way to get around.
Crews are working on finding the valve to turn off the water to the area.
WYDOT crews were working on installing a traffic light at the intersection and it is anticipated to be operational around mid-May.
An estimated time as to when the intersection will be fully reopened is unknown.
Updates to this story will be posted as they become available.
