This Saturday, weather permitting, the Sheridan Area Old-time Pullers will have a tractor pull at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
While recent guests on our talk show Public Pulse, Dean Roberts and Tim Gearry, with the organization, discussed the event and gave some insight into the tractors and the technique involved in hauling the sleds during competition.
Roberts said the organization has been around for a long time, and describes how the competition is staged.
Rainy weather during this week has made organizers question whether or not they can put the tractor pull on, but they remain hopeful that the rain will cease and the track will dry out before Saturday’s event.
The competition is free to attend and concessions will be available if pullers are able to perform.
Those attending should plan on being at the fairgrounds for a 9 a.m. start time on Saturday.
Anyone interested in entering a tractor for competition should be at the fairgrounds at 7:30 Saturday morning to register.
