County to Apply for TAP Grant Funding for South Bypass Project

Johnson County’s Commissioners have approved a Resolution to apply for Transportation Alternatives Programs (TAP) Grant funding and set aside local matching funds for the South Bypass Walking Path Project.

County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer spoke with the commissioners at their last meeting, explaining that the project is a cooperative effort between the county, City of Buffalo, the Johnson County School Distirct, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Pehringer gave the specifics on the grant amount along with the county’s local match.

The commission approved the Resolution for the grant application and setting aside funding for the local match.
