Johnson County Voters Shake Up Local Boards

Johnson County voters went to the polls on Tuesday and elected new blood to a number of local boards.

Sheila Camino, Luke Goddard, Elizabeth Graves, and Barbara Mueller were elected to the Cemetery District Board.

For the Rural Health Care District Board Britni Camino, Mark Schueler, and Adam Michelena won the three available seats.

Voted in on the Johnson County School Board were Marcia Goddard, Dave Belus, Casey Rodriguez, and Travis Pearson.

The seats on the Hospital District Board were won by Alecia Kozisek, Thomas Holt, and Rich Griffith.

Bill Novotny and Jeff Shelley were voted in to the Johnson County Commission.

Voted to serve on the Buffalo City Council were Myra Camino and Mike Madden.

On the Senior Citizen Service District, winning seats were Dan Gay, Margaret Fraley, and Mark Alan Wilson.

Individuals elected were Kate Harriet for County Clerk, Assessor Stephen Esponda, and Coroner Shawn Sullivan.

Retained for their positions were State Representative Barry Crago, Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader, County Sheriff Rod Odenbaugh, County Attorney Tucker Ruby, Treasurer Carla Bishop, and Clerk of District Court Paige Rhoads.

Voters also opted to retain the Senior Citizen Service District’s levy of 1 mill; voted for Amendment A, voted down Amendment B, and voted to retain Judge Shelley A. Cundiff in office.
