The annual Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice Buffalo Turkey Trot will be happening again this year on Thanksgiving morning.
This year’s Turkey Trot will begin at 8am in Crazy Woman Square in Buffalo, with registrations starting at 7:30.
The Johnson County Healthcare Center will again be offering the 5K Run/Walk, which is a fundraiser for the Hospice program at the JCHC.
Funds raised through the event will help terminally ill patients and families in the community.
The cost for adult participants is $10 for registration only with no t-shirt, and children ages 10 and under are free to participate.
According to the JCHC website, “Hospice is a philosophy of care. The Hospice philosophy accepts death as the final stage of life. The goal of hospice is to help patients live out their last days as alert and pain-free as possible.”
