Johnson County had a minimal cost during the last quarter on the ongoing legal fight to bring unpaid delinquent ad valorem tax revenue back to the county from various mineral companies that have done business in the county in previous years.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny told the rest of the commission that he had been given some good news on the legal costs.

taxing districts such as the school district, hospital district, solid waste district, and the cemetery district, decided not to bother collecting the districts’ share of the $400 this quarter.
