Commissioners Select Camino for Clerk

Johnson County’s Commissioners have approved Jackie Camino as the next Johnson County Clerk, over the two other candidates, Darcy Goni and Jody Telkamp.

The commissioners held interviews with the three candidates in executive session Tuesday afternoon and reconvened their meeting to vote for their choice.

Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained the process for the vote.

Camino received two votes and Darcy Goni received one.

Camino will be sworn into the position in January and will serve a two-year term as the county clerk.
