The Buffalo City Council has approved street closure requests and a request for a parade from the Longmire Foundation concerning events for Longmire Days 2023.
Jennifer McCormick, with the Longmire Foundation, brought the requests before the city council at their last regular meeting.
She said the foundation until recently didn’t think the event would happen this year, but explained how everything came together.
The parade request was for July 22 on Main Street from 8:30 to 9:45 in the morning, and the street closure request on Main Street for the Street Dance that night.
They also requested that Fetterman Avenue be closed from Main Street to Lobban Avenue from Friday, July 21 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, July 23 at 6 p.m. for food vendors.
The schedule of events for Longmire Days 2023 has not yet been set, but will be announced once they are finalized.
