The North Sheridan Hi-Tech Business Park is just about out of room for new development, and one Sheridan County organization is looking into the possibility of where to build another one.

Recently, M-C-2 Engineering and Construction completed a feasibility study for the Sheridan Economic And Education Development Authority regarding potential sites of a new business park.

Funding for the steady was provided via a grant from the Wyoming Business Council.

Megan Crow with MC2 says there were six areas explored for possible development, and at Tuesday’s SEEDA meeting (April 25th) they presented the list along with the company’s top 2 recommendations.

“The first one is out in Rich Ranch off of Yellowtail Drive. This site was chosen because it is basically shovel ready and the high tech business park Phase 1 is located off of Yellowtail Drive, so it would just be an extension of that existing industrial park. Site 2 is located on East 5th Street on the Storyhouse property. This site was chosen because it’s just in the early development stage to kind of create the industrial park that SEEDA is looking for.”

The SEEDA board took no action on the proposal.

SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs said there may be a special meeting called in late May to further discuss the issue.
