A former Colstrip, Montana Police officer has landed himself behind bars after admitting to instructing a teenage girl to send pictures and videos of herself in a sexual manner.
Forty-nine year old Hossein Cristiano Luigi Borhan was sentenced to eight years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, after he pleaded guilty to one charge of receiving child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, from August 2021 through April 2022, Borhan engaged in an online messaging relationship with the girl, while he was serving as a police officer.
Prosecutors say he used his position as a police officer to gain the trust and friendship of the girl and carried on a secret relationship with her for almost a year under the guise of being her mentor, counselor and therapist.
The conversation became sexual in nature, and the girl complied with Borhan’s instructions to send him pictures and videos of herself engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
In an interview with law enforcement, Borhan admitted to sending the teen approximately 20 sexual pictures and videos of himself and estimated receiving hundreds of sexual images and videos from her.
Colstrip is located north of Lame Deer and is north of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation border.
