Johnson County’s Commissioners discussed a request by Chairman Bill Novotny to approve him to draft four separate letters in opposition to proposed decisions by the Federal Government that could be harmful to the local economy.
Novotny explained further what he was seeking from the commission.
Three of the four letters would be sent to the Bureau of Land Management while the fourth would be directed to the Fish and Wildlife Service.
The commission voted to allow the chairman to draft the letters.
