Paving To Start On Main Street Between Grinnell Plaza And Loucks Street

The final phase of the 2023 portion of the downtown Sheridan Main Street construction project is about to begin.

The city has announced that beginning Thursday (October 19th), construction crews will start paving Main Street between Grinnell Plaza and Loucks Street.

The block is scheduled to open sometime during the week of November 6th.

Later this week or early next, crews will start striping Main Street between Dow Street and Grinnell, which is open to motor vehicle traffic, and from Grinnell to Loucks during the week of November 6th, before that section reopens.

Once Main Street has fully reopened, crews will remain on site to finish clean-up in preparation for the upcoming winter season.

Work on the remaining two blocks of Main Street between Loucks Street and Coffeen Avenue will be worked on next year, and is scheduled to begin in April.
