Bighorn National Officials Propose Changes To Climbing And Recreation Within Tensleep Canyon

Thad Berrett, Powder River District Ranger, is calling for comments on the Tensleep Climbing Management Plan project.

The project proposes to manage climbing and recreation in the Tensleep Canyon project area while protecting natural resources and providing diverse recreation opportunities.

Public scoping is a critical component of the planning process.

Two Forest Service hosted public meetings are planned.

A virtual public meeting is set for November 13, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. MST.

An in-person public meeting will be held November 15, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. MST.

The in-person public meeting will be at the Ten Sleep High School cafeteria, 242 Cedar Street, Ten Sleep, WY 82442.
