Johnson County Accepts Two Grants for Emergency Management

Johnson County’s Commissioners have voted to approve and accept two separate Homeland Security Grants.

County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly gave more details on the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and the Homeland Security Grant.

The EMPG Grant is for just under $46,000 and will require an identical local match.

The Homeland Security Grant is for just over $5,800 to replace the mobile command center radio.
