Westview Health Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Sheridan, recently earned a nearly perfect annual health survey result. According to a media release from Westview, to pass the annual state survey, several hundred criteria must be met. The survey covers a wide variety of care areas in the facility, including nursing care, patients’ rights, safety, food services and administration. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care, and interviewing residents and associates. The survey was conducted October 30 through November 2. Westview received the results of the survey on November 17.
Westview Executive Director Tonya Murner said the survey result was achieved by continually making sure their systems are in place throughout the year, always setting the bar higher, and focusing on improvement. Murner added that every department knows what is expected of them, and they pull together to make sure they are providing the best possible outcome.
Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan is one of three skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Wyoming managed by Life Care Centers of America. Founded in 1976, Life Care is a nationwide health care company headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee.
