Lummis Supports Constitutional Election Integrity Act

News – Sheridan Media

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) joined Republican Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina and three of her colleagues in introducing the Constitutional Election Integrity Act that is aimed at preventing rogue politicians and courts from disqualifying presidential candidates from the ballot and to ensure constitutional matters are only decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. This legislation will ensure that elections in the Cowboy State are decided by the people of Wyoming, not lawyers and judges.

In a media release issued by Senator Lummis, she said weaponizing state courts to remove candidates from the ballot not only undermines our political system but seeks to silence the people of Wyoming and circumvent their will and our Founding Fathers fought to give the American people the freedom to elect their president; they did not intend for political activists to abuse our judicial system. Lummis closed her statement by saying the Constitutional Election Integrity Act gives the U.S. Supreme Court the authority to preserve this sacred right, and she was proud to join Senator Tillis in protecting our elections from these overt displays of partisan corruption.
