A resolution to waive building permit and landfill fees for 1050 North Sheridan Avenue was considered and approved by the Sheridan City Council at a special meeting Monday night. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer.

Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger provided a statement immediately following the Council’s approval of the resolution.

The Council also approved a resolution declaring a vacancy on the City Council and the method of filling the position. Councilman Shawn Day recently resigned from his seat on the Council, which created the vacancy.  Day’s unexpired term runs through December 31, 2024.

Those interested must submit an application to the City Clerk no later than March 8 at 5 pm. Interviews for qualified applicants will be conducted on March 11 at 5:30 pm in City Hall Council Chambers during a study session of the Council. The Council shall select the individual to fill the vacancy at their regularly scheduled business meeting on Monday, March 18.
