Buffalo Council OKs Variance for Burning in City

The Buffalo City Council has voted to approve a requested variance to city code to allow the burning of yard debris within the city limits.

Kirk Kavanaugh, owner of Deer Park Campground on Highway 16 East, made the request and explained the situation to the council at their last regular meeting.

Buffalo Fire Chief Gomer Gammon said he had no issues allowing the request, as the land owners have burned their debris for years and it will be done in a large, open field on the property.
