A very special jazz ensemble will be performing in Sheridan soon. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The United States Air Force Band’s premiere jazz ensemble, “The Airmen of Note” from Washington D.C. is heading out on a seven-day community relations tour in Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota. One of the seven concerts will take place in Sheridan on Sunday, May 5 at 3 pm at the Sheridan Junior High School. The band will also perform in Gillette on Monday, May 6 at 7 pm at the Cam-Plex. All of the concerts are free and open to the public, although tickets are required to attend. Ticket information for the concerts is available here.
The Airmen of Note is one of the six performing ensembles within The United States Air Force Band, the premier musical organization of the U.S. Air Force. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., The United States Air Force Band honors those who have served, inspires American citizens to heightened patriotism and service, and connects with the global community on behalf of the U.S. Air Force and the United States of America.
