The Sheridan City Council met for their regular business meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Budget Resolution

A resolution for the City of Sheridan budget for fiscal year 2025 that begins on July 1 was approved by a vote of 5 to 1. Councilman Andrew Patceg was the lone no vote on the budget resolution. Prior to the vote, Councilman Patceg proposed five amendments to the budget. One amendment passed, while four failed. The amendment that was approved eliminates a $13,500 expenditure for a consultant for the City’s Fall Pumpkin Festival. Councilman Patceg.

The overall budget that was approved via the resolution Monday night is in the amount of $74.9 million. The Council also approved a joint resolution approving proposition for continuation of a One-Cent Capital Facilities Tax and awarded the bid for the Kendrick Park Pool Project to Dick Anderson Construction in the amount of $5.4 million.
