The Johnson County School Board, at their meeting Monday night, voted to adopt the new Smart Device Pilot Recommendation for the district.

The goal was to adopt uniform policy regarding personal smart technology in the district’s schools, and to set consequences for violations.

A committee was formed to conduct surveys, analyze data and make recommendations to the school board for consideration.

The board discussed what the committee did to develop the policy.
