Scouts invite community to share a tradition and pancakes

News – Sheridan Media

Boy Scouts of Troop 117 — Enoch Lick, Joshua Aitchison, Senior Patrol Leader Jake Aitchison and Scoutmaster John Aitchison — recently appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the Sheridan County community to one of their favorite summer traditions: breakfast.

The Dr. Bisbee Memorial Boy Scout Troop 117 Pancake Breakfast has become a beloved start to parade day for many Sheridan WYO Rodeo fans and locals alike.

For the Scouts, it’s more than just pancakes. It’s a chance to serve their community face-to-face while raising funds for leadership trips, outdoor adventures, and skill-building camps that help shape them into tomorrow’s leaders.

Fifteen-year-old Senior Patrol Leader Jake Aitchison, a Scout for five years, said the breakfast is something he looks forward to each summer.

The morning of July 11, the Scouts will be up early, flipping flapjacks, cleaning tables and welcoming guests and parade goers, helping fuel the day’s festivities with a hearty breakfast.

The Dr. Bisbee Memorial Pancake Breakfast runs from 6 to 9 a.m. on Friday, July 11, at Grinnell Plaza. Tickets are $5–$10, and proceeds go directly to supporting Troop 117’s programs.
