The 8th annual WYO Film Festival in Sheridan, Wyo., is set for Oct. 2–5.
Known for welcoming first-time filmmakers alongside industry professionals, the festival has offered audiences the chance to see everything from high-budget productions backed by major studios to independent projects made with little more than determination, talent, and compelling storytelling.
As it enters its eighth year, the festival has posted its official selections for this year’s celebration.
Appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, WYO Film Festival Creative Director Breton Shepard said founder Justin Stroup’s goal was to give residents of the Sheridan region a unique experience — bringing film lovers together under one roof to watch movies of all kinds and meet the people who created them.
Now attracting filmmakers from across the nation and the world, Shepard said these creators are a vital part of the festival and leave Sheridan with lifelong memories.
