The Buffalo City Council considered the approval of the recommendations from Mayor Shane Schrader for appointments to various boards.
Mayor Schrader had recommended Anita Peoples to a three-year term on the Lodging Tax Board (JCTA), which the council voted to approve.
Beau Fowler had submitted a Letter of Interst in a three-year term on the Kaycee-Buffalo-Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board (JOCO First).
Vice-Mayor Myra Camino said she felt there may be a conflict of interest in appointing him, and explained further.
Camino said according to Wyoming Association of Municipalities guidelines, there are four types of conflicts of interest: financial, professional, personal, and prejudicial.
The appointment of Fowler died due to a lack of a motion.
