October 15, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

Sheridan City Council members and Sheridan County Commission members had a joint meeting Tuesday morning to discuss issues affecting both.

The meeting was held in Sheridan City Hall, and included issues such as the West Beltway system; truck traffic in the city; gravel pit approvals; the mile donut area around the city; county islands within the city; and gambling.

Other topics they did not get to were SAWS: public restrooms: and the annexation and subdivision process.

Commission Chairman Lonnie Wright talks about what the meeting accomplished and what will happen moving forward.

The next meeting between the two governmental entities is tentatively set for  Tuesday, January 13th at 9:00 a.m. in the Sheridan County Courthouse.

We will have more from this meeting in future stories.
