Sheridan Commission Approves Holidays for 2026

Sheridan County employees now know their Holiday schedule for the coming year, after the Resolution naming the dates was approved by the County Commission.

Resolution No 25-12-031 approved holidays for 2026, which are applicable to the courthouse and other county offices.

Approved were New Year’s Day, January 1; Equality Day, January 19; President’s Day, February 16; Good Friday, April 3, courthouse will close at 1 p.m.; Memorial Day, May 25; Independence Day, July 3; Sheridan WYO Rodeo Activities, July 10; Labor Day, September 7; Veteran’s Day, November 11; Thanksgiving Day, November 26; Employee Appreciation Day, November 27; Christmas Eve, December 24, courthouse closes at 1 p.m.; Christmas Day, December 25; New Year’s Day, January 1, 2027; and any other holidays proclaimed by the county commission.
